Comments: Vowel-initial syllables obligatorily acquire a glottal stop as onset. /f, v, ts, z, tʃ, ʒ, e, ɔ/ are found only in borrowings. Glottal stop has phonemic value only in borrowings from Arabic. The interpretation of the vowels inventory is preliminary.
