Comments: Unlike in So, vowels contrasts in minor syllables are entirely neutralised and the vowels are predictable from context, except in loan words. /f/ is found in borrowings from Thai as an allophone of /pʰ/, which usually replaces it. Initial vowels are preceded by a glottal stop.
